Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an alternative to the Flash format recently approved by the World-Wide Web Consortium. The principles are much the same, with the key difference being that the data is stored inside XML and manipulated using JavaScript. At the time of writing, PHP has no extension-level support for SVG, so we shall not be covering it here. However, SVG is simply an XML-based language, which means you are able to hand-generate objects if you take the time to learn the exact syntax.
